THE ANSWER TO "WHY?"

I chose to pursue Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy because of my personal experiences, dreams, and desire to help others. There are five main reasons why I am passionate about this field. First, OT is not really well-known our country, and I want to change that. Many people don't realize how important Occupational Therapists are when it comes to improving lives. I hope to spread awareness and show others how valuable this profession is through patient care and community outreach.  Second, my sister's diagnoses of ADHD, Developmental Delays and Speech Delay always has a big impact on me. I've seen how much OTs have helped her, and it made me realize how important this profession is. Watching her journey has inspired me to help others who are going through the same struggle.  Third, want to help people to understand that OTs more than just physical rehabilitation.
